School’s out and the sun’s (hopefully) shining—there’s no better time to get the family out on their bikes and exploring! Whether you’re planning a staycation adventure or just heading out for a local spin, here are our top tips for making your summer cycling trip a breeze:
1. Pick the perfect route
Go for flat, traffic-free paths or family-friendly trails that everyone can enjoy—especially younger riders. Not sure where to go? Swing by Cycle 360—we’ve got loads of local route ideas to suit all ages and abilities!
2. Give the bikes a once-over
Check those tyres, brakes, and chains before you roll out. If anything looks off, bring the bikes to us for a quick safety check—we’ll get you sorted in no time.
3. Dress for summer… and surprises
Layers are still your friend—this is the Isle of Man! Pack sunnies and suncream, but maybe keep a light rain jacket handy too (just in case 🌦️).
4. Bring plenty of snacks + water
A cool drink and a snack stop can turn a short ride into a summer highlight. Ice cream break? Absolutely encouraged. 🍦🚴
5. Keep it chill
No need to race—this is about fun, not finishing times. Stop for sights, celebrate the small wins, and let the good vibes lead the way.
