The Crux 5 is reportedly up to 9 minutes and 58 seconds faster over Unbound compared to the previous Crux 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s a massive leap in gravel race performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Borrowing heavily from the development of the Tarmac SL8, Specialized reshaped every tube on the Crux 5 to improve airflow and reduce drag at real gravel race speeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Specialized, the new bike saves 15.2 watts compared to the previous generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For long-distance gravel racing, those gains add up quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Crux 5 Delivers Incredible Lightweight Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The S-Works Crux 5 frame weighs just 789 grams, putting it right at the top of the lightweight gravel category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete builds start from an incredible 6.9 kg \u2014 lighter than many premium road bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even with a full aero setup, 55 mm tyre clearance and Terra Aero CLX III wheels fitted, the Crux 5 still weighs only 7.1 kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialized achieved this using its Flow State Design approach, first introduced on the Aethos road bike, stripping away unnecessary material while maintaining stiffness, ride quality and durability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Crux 5 Is Built for Speed Everywhere<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Crux 5 isn\u2019t just about headline numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialized has focused heavily on ride quality, handling and rider fatigue, aiming to create a bike that stays fast deep into long races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new frame keeps the responsive handling and balanced compliance riders loved about the Crux 4 while adding genuine aerodynamic gains and increased capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With clearance for tyres up to 55 mm, the Crux 5 is ready for rougher terrain, more traction and improved comfort without compromising race performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
